Majestic Mount Viso (3841m), Monte Viso or Monviso is located in Italy close to the French border. Monte Viso is well known for its pyramid-like shape, and because it is higher than all its neighbouring peaks by about 500 m it can be seen from far away. In Italy is also known as Il Re di Pietra (The Stone King) because of his prominence within western Italian Alps landscape. Long time thought to be the highest mountain in Europe.
This picture was taken at around 2500 metres altitude at around 11am. On this one and a half hour flight I was able to make it to 3100 metres.

Braving the cold to experience the flight and get the pictures - The outside temperature is -12 degrees Celsius, I'm covered from heat to feet to protect me from the cold: Two pairs of socks + heaters in the boots, 3 pants, 6 layers on the upper body, two balaclavas, helment and 3 pairs of cloves with heaters ! With all of that I have cold hands !
